SG Revolution tyres ready for despatch to major waste company in Hungary

SG Revolution tyres ready for despatch to major waste company in Hungary

Hungarian waste company Zold Hid has chosen SG Revolution super cushion solid tyres for their brand new JCB 527-58 Loadalls; part of a larger order of JCB machines. The machines are set to handle various waste materials at the company’s recently expanded, state of the art, waste facility near to picturesque Lake Balaton, south-west of Budapest. The tyres were selected for their ability to work in arduous environments with no risk of punctures from loose or sharp objects on site. Manufactured from a special rubber compound to a solid design they minimise downtime from tyre problems because they simply keep on working even if damaged.

The tyres were ordered a sales special with the original machine order from Terra Equipment, JCB’s Central European dealer. They were delivered to the JCB factory in Rocester for assembly line fitment ready for despatch to Hungary. Les Williams, MD of ITWS, suppliers of the SG tyres across UK and Europe, is delighted at this latest order. “SG Revolution tyres are becoming increasingly popular for machines of all makes and sizes destined for the waste and recycling sector. Not only do they prevent punctures but the wear characteristics are phenomenal meaning that the lifetime value of the tyres is quite excellent. With integrated air holes designed in to the tyre they also provide a comfortable ride for the operator and help absorb shocks from rough terrain.”

Vive la France

Fantastic upturn in French business

We’re delighted to report that business is booming in France for SG Revolution super cushion solid tyres. Our dealer, Genie Civil Service, visited the ITWS warehouse and offices in November 2012 to sign an agreement giving them exclusivity in France and this has proved to be a great move for both businesses.
Genie Sales Manager, Jerome Mure, was impressed by the scope of the operation and has subsequently placed orders for some 52 tyres and 14 rims since the visit; some of which were for stock, but the majority of which have been sold to end users in a variety of applications. Both businesses are hugely optimistic about the future.

The launch of JCB’s largest telescopic handler to date, the JCB 550-80 Wastemaster, has benefited sales of SG Revolution Super Cushion solid tyres.

Launched in September 2012 the machine was designed for the waste and recycling sector who needed a machine with greater capacity. JCB approached ITWS to design a tyre that could be specified as a factory fit option for machines requiring a puncture free solution for work in harsh ground conditions. Sales figures pre and post Christmas have been fantastic with several sets of tyres being despatched from ITWS every week destined for the assembly line at JCB.

SG Revolution Tyres provide EMR with solution for their Scania trucks

SG Revolution Tyres provide EMR with solution for their Scania trucks

Working on a waste site not only presents puncture problems for mobile plant and machinery, but also for trucks and wagons arriving on and off site.

Having specified SG Revolution super cushion solid tyres for their fleet of wheeled loaders for many years, EMR asked ITWS to work with them to source suitable SG tyres for their Scania truck which was also suffering from puncture problems due to the harsh site conditions. MD of ITWS, Les Williams, worked in partnership with the EMR team to provide all the relevant data to ensure the 8 wheel rigid tipper truck, which carries and moves skips, would perform equally as well as on pneumatic tyres. The truck now boasts 8 x 1000x20 SG C2 pattern tyres to the rear and 4 x 1100x20 SC8X pattern to the front of the truck. Feedback from the team at EMR has been excellent.

Our new warehouse interior

Our new warehouse interior

It’s great now we’re all under one roof.

Here are some pics of the inside of our warehouse. It’s so easy to keep tidy because we have lots of space. Let’s hope it stays that way.

Komatsu Europe

ITWS achieved approval for fitment of the SG super cushion products at factory level for the WA250, WA320 & WA 380 machines with Komatsu Germany last week.

This is a result of working with Komatsu for the last twelve months supplying data and test results. Great result that should make the supply of tyres much more efficient.

THE RWM Show proves a great hit for ITWS

Our team travelled to the NEC for the duration of the RWM show in September and, once again, it proved to be a great success for us.

With new wheels and tyres on display we were able to attract a good quality and quantity of visitors to our stand and we are busily following up all the leads that were generated during the 3 days.

We were delighted that a brand new set of 1100-20 C28X super cushion tyres was also showcased on the JCB stand fitted to a JCB 527-58 Wastemaster telehandler. ITWS purpose designed the tyre for this latest machine in JCB’s waste line-up and we’re sure it will be popular on many brands of smaller machines in waste and recycling applications.
